DEEP LAND

Vast landscapes.
Fewer distractions.
More awareness.

Several days travelling through extraordinary natural landscapes—on foot or on the water, in small groups or individually, close to nature, the weather and the simple rhythm of the journey.

Sometimes we need less, not more.

Our everyday lives are full. Appointments, information, decisions and constant availability leave little room simply to notice what is happening around us.

For a few days, DEEP LAND takes us beyond this rhythm—into landscapes where each day again revolves around immediate things: walking or paddling, exploring, making camp, lighting a fire and cooking, eating, sleeping, experiencing the weather, observing, making decisions, talking and being quiet.

This is not about performing or reaching a particular goal. When much of what usually demands our attention falls away, space opens for something else: noticing, understanding, making our own decisions and managing with simple means.

How we travel.

Few people

DEEP LAND deliberately travels with few people. This leaves room for each person, for real conversations and for time alone.

Simplicity

We reduce what we carry to what we genuinely need. Not as an end in itself and not as deprivation. Less luggage, fewer distractions and less programming create room for what happens along the way.

Time

We do not try to fit as much as possible into as few days as possible. There is time to walk, observe, rest and talk—and time when nothing is planned.

Understanding the landscape

At DEEP LAND, nature is more than a backdrop. Along the way, we observe how landscape, weather, plants, animals and human use interact. Where it fits naturally, we make these connections visible—without turning the journey into a seminar.

Clear guidance

Every journey is carefully prepared and guided. Route, organisation and safety provide a dependable framework. Within it, there is room to explore, make decisions and try things for yourself, without every moment being scheduled.

Two ways to go deeper into the landscape.

Nature Retreats

Several days travelling through extraordinary natural landscapes. In a small group, on foot or on the water, with a deliberately simple daily structure and plenty of unplanned time.

The route and framework are prepared. We travel, explore, observe and live together for a few days with whatever the landscape and the day bring. What emerges does not have to be decided in advance.

Private Journeys

Individually designed and guided nature journeys for individuals, couples or small private groups.

The starting point is not a ready-made programme, but the question of which landscape interests you and how you would like to experience it—on foot, by canoe or sea kayak, over several days or from a fixed base.

The result is a personal Private Journey—carefully prepared, guided and designed for a small number of people.

At home outdoors.

I am Elias Raiser. For many years, both professionally and privately, I have travelled through landscapes where orientation, personal responsibility and a clear awareness of the surroundings matter.

As a forestry scientist, professional hunter and head gamekeeper, I have spent much of my professional life outdoors and learned to read landscapes, habitats and natural relationships. My time as a paratrooper also shaped how I move through unfamiliar terrain, assess situations and take responsibility.

DEEP LAND grew out of these experiences. I am interested in journeys where we stay outdoors long enough not merely to visit a landscape, but to truly travel through it for several days.

My role is to create the framework, prepare the journey carefully and guide it on the ground. Together with local partners, I take care of organisation and safety—without filling every moment with a programme.
